JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior? Brian: I got put on house arrest at my sentencing
based on good behavior while in jail. I was
sentenced to house arrest as part of having good
behavior in jail and not having any innocents
while in there etc. Marty: I was released due to a magistrate hearing Linda: no
JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior? Brian: I believe for good behavior that you can get a few
months off your sentence for good behavior. I
believe I saw that posted at the Jail Pods on
that. I believe that your Probation Officer can
have you relisted for good behavior. Marty: Not sure. Linda: not sure
JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior? Brian: I did not get in any fights, I was good with other
inmates on my Pod. I complied with what the Guards
on the Units. I played games on the Pod and did
other activities like played basketball. I wrote
letters to my family to get put on house arrest
and have my detainer lifted. I wrote to the Public
Defender to try and find out about my cases. I
went to Catholic activities when they were
announced by the Guard. I paid off most of court
stuff and my restitution. Marty: My guess would be:
1:Fighting with a inmate
2:Fighting with a C.O. (BIG no-no)
3:Being disrepectful. Linda: fighting
GOOD TIME:
The fact is that an inmate can get good time, 5 days per month, but when it comes to the county, it is at the discretion of the judge, and some don't recognize good time for certain situations or even most of the time, it is totaly at the judge's discretion.

It is an individual situation between the convicted and the judge. There are guidelines, but the judge can modify those guidelines at his or her discretion.

i had to serve 3 months, and i did NOT get an early release and i was PERFECT. never any problems or calls saying that i was outside my area. maybe it was because the sentence was so short.
